Warning: This is a
long post. This was a project which I started in April 2018. I thought
it would be nice to give a small token to all my colleagues on their birthday
to show someone at work remembers and care since we spent a big chunk of the
day at work it’s like a second home. So I started making gift boxes and filled
them with treats to give to my colleagues on their birthdays.

Ah… All these beautiful rainbow colours, I hope they
brighten up your day some. Today, I am sharing many, many cards I made using
these rainbow die-cuts.

Polka dots background
I find that lately I had enjoyed spending time creating
backgrounds for my cards. For the cards in the blogpost, I used MFT Peek-a-BooPolka Dots die to punch out many circles to create the card background. I
finished all the cards differently using various elements that I had created
previously and this technique is also a good way to use up your scraps.

Distress Oxides Embossed Background
Hello and welcome. Aren’t these backgrounds just gorgeous? I
used Distress Oxide ink briefly in one of my earlier post and wanted to play
with them more so I decided to do some background by blending Distress Oxide
ink.

Little Agenda & Distress Oxides Ink
I have been wanting to try Distress Oxide since I heard how
well it blends with its dye and pigment properties. Ink blending has always
been a challenge to me as I always find myself too heavy handed. As you can see
in my cards here, the oxides ink blended very well and see how smooth they looked.

Lawn Fawn Scalloped Box Pop Up Card - Birthday party theme
I absolutely adore this pop-up box card die. It is so much
fun and there’s so many scenes you can create with it. I did a simple birthday
theme for my first attempt using this die and I know I will use this die again
many times in future.

Border stamp & Heat Embossing
I am a big fan of heat embossing!
It did take me a while to get a heat gun and it’s not even a craft heat gun. I
couldn’t find one locally within a reasonable price. While searching online,
someone said they used a DIY heat tool for their art project and it worked well so I
finally got a DIY heatgun.

All About Food
We all love food, right? Whether they are healthy or sinful
option, there’s something for everybody.
Who can resist a card filled with all sorts of foods!
I made this card for a friend who
really enjoys food, be it cooking, eating or even critique about it.
I looked through all my stamps
and took out all those with food images. There were images from a variety of
companies on this card; Sweet Stamp Shop Fruity, Bacon Break, Just Icons, Fall
into Christmas (discontinued), Mama Elephant Lunar Extras, Lawn Fawn Just for You and MFTStamps Mon Cherie.
The images were then coloured
with glitter gel pens to give it shine and interest. The sentiment strip was
cut from white card stock and stamp with a sentiment from MFT Beary HappyBirthday.
This card was easy to pull
together and made use of small images that you have in your stash. Hope this
card inspires you to use some of the less used stamps you have.

The Greeting Farm Little Mermaids
These little mermaids from The Greeting
Farm was so, sooo cute I can’t believe it took me so long to play with them. I
finally got round to colouring them last September and made 3 cards with them
last month. Yes, I am a very slow card maker. I have a demanding day job so I craft whenever I have the energy and time.

Hello and welcome! Hope you had a
great week. Today, I am sharing some cards I
made for Chinese New Year (CNY) and some lucky envelopes. It’s tradition to give lucky envelopes/ red

Rainbow series 4 - cut out shaker card
Hi there! I hope you are enjoying my series of posts on using scraps useful.
As crafters, we not only generate a lot of scraps, we also had rejects or cards
that we messed up. Today I am sharing how I messed up a card I was working on
and what I did to make the most out of it. I try not to discard things without
knowing I had done what I could to salvage it.

Just a little note...
Hello and welcome again. If you are here for the first time,
thanks for coming over, I hope you will find the blog useful and help to inspire you.
For this card, I used the stamp set from Mama Elephant FairFeathers. I find this stamp set very classy and suitable for most occasion. It
would be very useful for masculine card, which was always challenging for me.

Christmas 2017 - Holiday Floral Background
Hello and Happy New Year! Today I
am sharing another Christmas card design. I know Christmas is long over but I
had some technical problem with my laptop a week before Christmas and I only
got it fixed just before New Year and could only post after then. For 2017, I decided
to choose 2 products and see what I could made from them. This is the second
product and it is using the Hero Arts Holiday Floral Bold Prints.
