MFT Sailor Girl rainbow

Hello and welcome to my blog! Today I am sharing a shaker card made using some Distress Oxide ink and My Favourite Things (MFT stamps) Sailor Girl.

I blended various Distress Oxide ink - Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet, Faded Jeans, Peacock Feather and Cracked Pistachios on water color paper.

The sentiment was white heat embossed on black card strip. I actually did two sentiment strips - not glued on as I could not decide which one to use so I can glued on the sentiment when I decide who to send to and use the one that fit the occasion.

I also stamped on the envelope, both front and back to add interest for the recipient.

Thank you for dropping by, I hope you like today's card. I will be sharing more cards soon. Have a good week ahead!

The Greeting Farm Little Mermaids

These little mermaids from The Greeting Farm was so, sooo cute I can’t believe it took me so long to play with them. I finally got round to colouring them last September and made 3 cards with them last month. Yes, I am a very slow card maker. I have a demanding day job so I craft whenever I have the energy and time.

Rainbow series 4 - cut out shaker card

Hi there!  I hope you are enjoying my series of posts on using scraps useful. As crafters, we not only generate a lot of scraps, we also had rejects or cards that we messed up. Today I am sharing how I messed up a card I was working on and what I did to make the most out of it. I try not to discard things without knowing I had done what I could to salvage it.

Rainbow series 2 - shaker background

Hello again. I hope you are having a great week.
I am continuing with the rainbow series, where I made rainbow paper out of my scraps. I tend to be indecisive when making cards so I do generate quite a bit of scraps, and I liked my stuff kept neat and organised so the ever-growing pile of scraps disturbs me.

Bauble shaker card

Hello and welcome.

Today, I am sharing this Christmas bauble shaker card. I used 2 different techniques to raise the card front for the shaker and will share my experience with them.
I did not have any bauble die so I made my own bauble from some circle die and specialty papers.
