MFT Sailor Girl rainbow

Hello and welcome to my blog! Today I am sharing a shaker card made using some Distress Oxide ink and My Favourite Things (MFT stamps) Sailor Girl.

I blended various Distress Oxide ink - Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet, Faded Jeans, Peacock Feather and Cracked Pistachios on water color paper.

The sentiment was white heat embossed on black card strip. I actually did two sentiment strips - not glued on as I could not decide which one to use so I can glued on the sentiment when I decide who to send to and use the one that fit the occasion.

I also stamped on the envelope, both front and back to add interest for the recipient.

Thank you for dropping by, I hope you like today's card. I will be sharing more cards soon. Have a good week ahead!

Little Agenda & Distress Oxides Ink

I have been wanting to try Distress Oxide since I heard how well it blends with its dye and pigment properties. Ink blending has always been a challenge to me as I always find myself too heavy handed. As you can see in my cards here, the oxides ink blended very well and see how smooth they looked.

The Greeting Farm Little Mermaids

These little mermaids from The Greeting Farm was so, sooo cute I can’t believe it took me so long to play with them. I finally got round to colouring them last September and made 3 cards with them last month. Yes, I am a very slow card maker. I have a demanding day job so I craft whenever I have the energy and time.

Christmas carol

Hello and Welcome.
Today I am showing another set of cards I made for the Caring Hearts Card Drive.

The dark background was blended using Distress Ink – Wilted Violet and Faded Jeans and sprayed with Perfect Pearls infused water and dabbed off. The ground was blended in using Distress Ink - Ground Espresso and Hickory Smoke and dabbed on with MFT white pigment ink. For one of the card, I wanted the ground to be snow-covered so I masked off the area before I blended the sky.
