Patterned paper slimline card

Hello everyone! Do you use patterned paper? I love patterned paper, they always look so pretty but I noticed I hardly ever use them in my cards. It is always a struggle for me to incorporate patterned paper in my cards. So I thought I will do a little challenge for myself and made some cards with patterned paper.

I made a couple of slimline cards. For the first card, I was given some money envelopes and thought the flowers in them was really pretty. I cut them out as design.

I used the sentiment from Concord and 9th Dahlia Turnabout stamp.

It was a very simple card to put together.

For the second card, I pieced together some scraps and die cut the sentiment using the colourful scraps. The sentiment die is from My Favourite Things - Hand Lettered Happy Birthday.

I don't usually make clean and simple cards and it took quite a fair amount of self-control to not add anymore accents or details to the card. I hope you like the cards. Thanks again for dropping by.

Father's Day Card SSS Tumbling Leaves stencil

Hello everyone. Welcome and thank you for visiting my blog. I tried my best to keep the blog interesting and informative. Today, I am sharing a Father's Day card using the Simon Says Stamp (SSS) Tumbling Leaves stencil. I find masculine card quite challenging and I needed to make these cards rather quickly and I am glad this stencil is so versatile.

I used the SSS blue card stock and blended in Antique Linen, Peeled Paint and Spiced Marmalade with the SSS Tumbling Leaves stencil.

The sentiment was white heat embossed using Mama Elephant Happy Everything. Finally, I added some jewels from the Pretty Pink Posh Sugar Plum mix.

Thank you again for visiting my blog and I hope it gives you some idea and inspiration in getting your masculine card made. Hope to see you again.

Wrap card with Simon Says Stamp Modern Flowers Wrap Card die

Hello Everyone! Welcome & thanks for stopping by. Today I’m sharing a wrap card. I absolutely love how dainty & pretty these wrap cards look. I made these using the Simon Says Stamp Modern Flowers Card Wrap Die and I am still swooning over them.

I have a few cards to share today and I hope you like them. The first card is this teal colour card. I only die cut one edge of a 10 5/8 inch by 4 1/4/ inch card stock, scored the card at 4 1/4 inch and 8 1/2 inch and fold them into a gate fold card that flips vertically.

This is how the card looks like when open and I punched 2 holes to put the ends of the ribbon but there will still be plenty of space to write the message inside.

This is when the card is partially open.

OH my! Isn't this the sweetest card?!

To make this, die cut both edges of a 8 1/2 inch white card stock with the Simon Says Stamp Modern Flowers Wrap Card die. I put a 4 inch by 4 inch pink note card inside and tie a pink ribbon on the wrap.

This is how it looks like when you unwrap the card. I have stamped the inside of all the cards using Versamark ink and Hero Arts Floral Bold Prints by Lia background stamp.

Just flip the pink note card up and there is plenty of space to write your personal messages inside.

This one used pink outer wrap card and white note card inside.

It gives a different feel.

This next card uses white card wrap and pale grey card stock for the note card inside.

Again I love how the card turned out and it have a more neutral, less feminine feel.

This next card uses double wrap. There is 2 card wrap  stacked on top of each other.

This is how the card looks when unwrap. The note card inside is grey colour

For this card, you have the option of folding the wrap onto each other without needing a ribbon or a twine. The cream colour card wrap gives it a warm feel of being delicate but not feminine.

This is the final card. Again, it's a double wrap card, using silver tone. The double wrap card is grey colour and the inside is white note card.

I haven't added anything to the inside of the card. But this gives me the option of quickly adhering any die cut sentiment for the occasion whenever I need it. The sentiments I used for the cards in this post are from Mama Elephant and Simon Says Stamp.

I hope you like today post. I really love the wrap card design. Thank you again for dropping by.

Paper Smooches Bear Frog Card

Hi and welcome!
Today I am sharing some shaped card. I saw this Paper Smooches Bear Frog die a while ago but only got to play with it not too long ago, and it was so much fun. The die lets you make bear and frog with a variety of faces/ expressions as you can see here. I made happy faces but you can make some moody ones if you want to. You can also add the bear onto a rectangular card as a die cut as in my 'Winnie the Pooh' failed example.

I tried to make this card looked like Winnie the Pooh but missed the mark, I must have positioned something wrong. Think the nose should be up a bit. Oh well...

Isn't these cards just the cutest?!! And there are many more varieties you can do.

You can even make a frog, so much fun playing with this die. I’m planning to make more of these shaped cards.
Thank you for dropping by my blog. I really appreciate it

Paper Smooches have since stopped operation.

Love Cynthia Happy Girls cards

Hello everyone! I know I am not active checking my blog. I normally post and leave it at that. I recently found out I had comments from 2 and 4 years ago that I am just reading. OMG! I will try to check on my blog more. Today, I am sharing some cute cards that I made. I stamped and coloured these Love Cynthia images a while ago during The Daily Marker 30 day but only found time to make them into cards recently.

Since these Love Cynthia images are small, I decided to do a 4 inch x 4 inch size card. I cut 4' x 8' card stock to form the card base and fold that in half. I just can't get over how cute these happy girls are.

I ran 3½" x 3½" white card stock through a variety of Sizzix and We R Memory Keepers embossing mat to add some texture to the background.

The sentiments were heat embossed onto strips of scraps card stock from making the card base.

Wink of Stella and Glossy Accents were added to the images for shine and gloss.

I contemplated for a long time if I wanted to add embellishment but decided against it though I added to 2 of the cards using Pretty Pink Posh Watermelon mix.

These cards were quite easy to pull together and oh so cute.

Hope you enjoy the post and let me know if you want to know anything.

Thank you for stopping by. I really appreciate it. Wishing you a great day ahead.

Simon Says Stamp (SSS) Tumbling Leaves stencil, Distress Oxides and Nuvo glimmer paste

Hello and welcome to my blog. I have been crafting for a few years now and I can't believe it took me this long to crafting with a stencil. And this popular SSS Tumbling Leaves stencil is just perfect for a stencil first-timer like me. This blog is on my exploration with stencil and Distress Oxides ink.

I did a mix of black and white card stock with Distress Oxide ink on stencil. For some of the card stock, I actually used glimmer paste.

For the first card, I ink blend Peacock Feather and Broken China on white card stock. I white heat embossed the sentiment from Avery Elle Simple Sentiments on a black sentiment strip. Spectrum noir sparkle pen is added onto the blue leaves for the shine. Blue gems was added to the sentiment strip for interest.

Alert! Warning! You will need sunglasses for the next card.

The second card started with ink blending on white card stock using Wild Honey and Spiced Marmalade. Half way through I changed my mind and decided to use Nuvo Golden Crystal glimmer paste over the stencil. The sentiment was put together using the Essentials by Ellen Classic Block Alpha by Julie.

The rest of the cards was made on black card stock. This one was ink blended using Salty Ocean and Iced Spruce. The sentiment was from Penny Black Heartfelt Thanks. Some blue gems were added to the card.

This next card was ink blended using Wild Honey and Spiced Marmalade and the sentiment was from Mama Elephant with jewels from Pretty Pink Posh Watermelon Mix.

Next, we have this card blended with Distress Oxides Fossilised Amber and Peeled paint and sentiment is from Mama Elephant with jewels from Pretty Pink Posh Watermelon Mix..

The final card I am sharing today uses the Nuvo Garnet red and Pink Opal glimmer paste over the SSS Tumbling Leaves stencil.

I had a lot of fun using ink and paste I had over the stencil and I thought they turned out rather well. It's all about just trying things out, learn and if you don't like how it turn out, try it differently the next time. I find it normally turns out well. Even the ones that turn out bad, you can cut them up and use the good bit. I hope you will find time to try things out and play with your craft supplies.
